Seva team was retained as an MEP design engineers for this project. The project scope included removal and replacement of all rooftop equipment including large size rooftop units, air cooled condensers, exhaust fans, and ventilation penthouses.
The existing design was completed based on 1968 construction codes and new design required to have a compliance of 2014 construction codes (the current codes). A detailed code analysis was performed including ventilation air calculations, load calculations, review of existing duct layouts, energy recovery requirements and electrical power efficiencies. A detailed structural coordination was also performed for the roof loading. |

Provided MEP design for multiple sub-contract project which included new elevator system, new restroom layouts for the ADA accessibility, cooling systems in the elevator machine room, sprinkler work in the selected areas, electrical public announcement (PA) system upgrade throughout the building and related fire alarm system work.
An extensive site investigations were performed to collect existing data. Detailed design included MEP, FA and FP design drawings and specifications to meet the New York School Construction Authority's design requirements. |
